John Taber wins NEH Grant

John Taber has been awarded funds totaling $160,000 through the NEH's Scholarly Editions and Translations Program.  

Over the course of the two-year grant period Professor Taber will be working with Professor Vincent Eltschinger of L’École Pratique des Hautes Études and Professor Isabella Ratié of the University of Paris, as well as Michael Torsten Much of the University of Vienna, to translate the Apoha Section of Dharmakirti’s workPramanavarttika-Svavrtti.  The title of the project is "Dharmakirti on Thought and Language: a Translation of Pramanavarttika-Svavrtti, the Apoha Section (part one: PVSV 24, 14 - 45,20)."
