Description:
Phi Sigma Tau is hosting a film night this upcoming Friday night at the Cherry/Silver Room in the Student Union Building. This event will help foster a stronger sense of community among the philosophy undergraduates here at UNM, helping them to become aware of the fantastic support group that exists in the form of their peers and faculty outside of the classroom environment. All students and faculty from the university are invited to attend, and to appreciate the unique perspectives that philosophy can lend to media.
The film will be “The Man Who Knew infinity.” It is primarily a biopic on the life of Srinivasa Ramanujan. An Indian mathematician known for his natural brilliance and unconventional approach to proving his work. The film also highlights his interactions with key philosophical figures of the era, such as Bertrand Russel.
