We are very proud to announce that Justin Messmore has been awarded the 2013-2014 Susan Deese-Roberts Outstanding Teaching Assistant Award. This award is co-sponsored by UNM's Faculty Senate Teaching Enhancement Committee and the Center for Teaching Excellence, and it recognizes and rewards the teaching achievements of current UNM graduate students.

Justin joined our PhD program in Fall 2010, and since Spring 2011, he has taught multiple sections of Phil 101: Introduction to Philosophy and Phil 156: Reasoning and Critical Thinking.  Time and again, the students in Justin's classes praise him for his clarity, enthusiasm, and investment in their learning.  Justin continues to prove himself to be a talented and committed teacher, and we are proud that he has earned this well deserved recognition of his accomplishments.  Congratulations, Justin!
