Congratulations to doctoral student Joe Spencer for being awarded the Hugh W. Nibley Dissertation Fellowship. The fellowship carries a $10,000 stipend for AY 2014-15, which is being awarded by the Neal A. Maxwell Institute for Religious Scholarship at Brigham Young University. Joe earned the fellowship "in recognition of his outstanding performance and promise as a scholar of scriptural theology."  You can read more about Joe and the considerations that earned him this award on the Nibley Fellowship Award web site.

This is Joe's second dissertation fellowship for AY 2014-15.  In April 2014, he was selected to receive UNM's prestigious 2014 Graduate Dean's Dissertation Fellowship.

Congratulations, Joe, on these impressive and well deserved awards!
